Let’s Get Juicy!

Let’s get JUICY! This week on Out from the Inside we’re all about radical authenticity!

We’re counting down to the end of this run of the show and there are still SOSOSO many people and ideas I want to share with you. We’re packing in all the great stuff and this week is no exception…

On Wednesday I’ll be chatting and laughing and juicing with my friend Lisa McCourt about her upcoming Hay House book Juicy Joy- 7 Simple Steps to Your Glorious, Gutsy Self.

Although the book won’t hit the streets until March of 2012, this is your chance to get a preview of Lisa’s brand of juicy goodness.

I met Lisa through the Hay House Speak, Write, Promote workshop and have had a few chances to hang out with this dynamo and all I can say is that you’re going to LOVE her. Gutsy and glorious, I think you’ll get a lot from hearing her fresh perspective on living a vibrant self-adoring life! We’ll be talking about some practical steps for permanently ditching whatever is holding you back.

Here’s a description of the new book “Juicy Joy- 7 Steps to Your Glorious, Gutsy Self is a penetrating exploration into your authentic core being. It’s an instruction manual for peeling away layer after layer of the stifling masks you’ve accumulated over your true, glorious essence. When you get savvy to these masks, you can deliberately observe them with curiosity; even with awe and admiration at their strength and cleverness. You can be amused by them. And from that vantage point you will realize that you are their creator and sovereign master . . . and wearing the masks or removing them is entirely your choice. Developing a compass for Juicy Joy and learning how to follow it guarantees a life that is rich, real, and powerfully satisfying, and launches you into an enduring love affair with your biggest, gutsiest, most authentic self.”

Sound good? Um, YEAH!  Lisa began her career as the author of children’s books and has sold over 5 million copies. She has a great back-story and I think you’ll find it inspiring. Her new mission is training people to learn to integrate JUICY JOY in to their everyday lives. Tune in for tips on how to saturate your own precious life with transformative magic.

We’ll be taking your calls, so ring in for some life-changing techniques that will be sure to rock your world.

So meet me in your computer HERE on Wednesday and GET JUICY! 9Am Pacific, 10AM Mountain, 11AM Central and Noon Eastern.

UBU, Baby.

Oh, and sorry if this post looks weird. I broke my blog again.  :)

Channel Your Inner Disco Ball! Special Guest Coach Kerri Richardson

One of my favorite affirmative visualizations is that my head is a disco ball. Yes it spins, but it’s a glittery spin and who doesn’t love glitter?

This week on Out From the Inside we’ll be talking about how to let your inner disco ball shine. Dancing is encouraged. I’ll be wearing one of these outfits.

Frankly, I’m not sure which way I’ll be dressed. It depends on how I feel when I wake up on Wednesday. I am nothing if not a versatile Lezzer. Photos to follow. I promise.

I can’t think of a better guest for this show than Spiritual Life Coach Kerri Richardson. Not only is Kerri is a SuperSpiritual Coach, she’s a Consultant, Speaker and all around O-mazing force of nature. Did I mention she’s inspiring and funnyashell too? You are going to LURVE her.

I’ve been following Kerri on Twitter and Facebook and reading her latest blog series about the trip she and her partner Missy took to Italy. It’s all great stuff. I’ve decided that I’m going to coach her and suggest that she add Inspirational Twitter crackup and Travel Writer to her list of talents and services.

Faithful Hay House Radio listeners may be familiar with Kerri from her appearances on Spirit Connections with John Holland and Coach on Call with Cheryl Richardson. (Rocking the sisterlove).

We have loads of things to discuss and I’m looking forward to hearing about Kerri’s experience as a coach, her coming out journey and maybe a bit about her beliefs about how to create a Kardashian-free world.

We’ll be taking your calls, so dial 866-254-1579 and get some fresh perspective on whatever dreams you are polishing or issues you are working on putting in the rear view mirror. Also, I know that many of you are practicing or aspiring coaches. This is your chance to ring in and talk to a successful professional coach about the business.

Meet me in your computer on Wednesday, 9am Pacific, 10 am Mountain, 11 am Central and Noon Eastern. You can also catch the replays throughout the week or listen on-demand starting Thursday. Click on this LINK for the schedule.

UBMe

After over a month of talking about it and sorting through hundreds of entries, it’s time for the UBMe Contest show. Yep. I’ve gotta be me and WHOOSH, am I excited about it.

Last Sunday I attended a workshop with my friend and frequent show guest Dougall Fraser. The workshop was terrific. (I want to devote a special blog to the experience and will do so next week) In one of the group exercises,we split into pairs and did practice readings. We were taken through a meditation and then spent quite a while focusing on the aura of the other person. We then came back into the larger group to talk about the experience. My workshop partner was very accurate about many of the things she saw about me and my energy. She was spot-on about a lot of things, but imagine my response when one of the first things she said was that she could see that I have an ability to speak on behalf of others and about causes, but that I seem to have trouble speaking about myself!  Ruh- rho, Scooby Doo! Apparently this show couldn’t come at a better time for me. I’m all about the new experience and stretching, so here goes. Imma get my Sammy Davis Junior on!

As I have said so many times, my favorite thing about doing the radio show is getting to know all of you.  The UBMe Contest has been a great opportunity to do just that. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who entered. The questions that were submitted ranged from insightful to insane (but the very good kind).

Today is the one year anniversary of the day that I received a telephone call from Cheryl Richardson telling me that I had been chosen to host a show on Hay House Radio. Although I was pretty sure that there were loads of LGBTQ people in the personal development and spirit loving community, I had no idea if the show would find an audience. I’m happy to say that your response has exceeded all expectations.  YOU have made this show something that is unique and can’t be found anywhere else. Together, we are exploring a new kind of connection.

Since it’s debut last winter, the show I originally envisioned has morphed and expanded and rounded in ways I never imagined. Not only have I been humbled by the mountains of mail I have received from all of you, I’m grateful for how you have changed my view of the world. Thank you. A simple message about the beauty, power and GIFT of being yourself has become a group conversation about authenticity and how in the end, we’re all diversely one. Sharing our experiences deepens our connection and looking at life through the prism of another persons worldview helps us understand ourselves.

I couldn’t be more thrilled at the choice the Universe (with some help from Barbara Carrellas) chose for the task and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who entered. The drawing was random but the outcome seems to be a perfect representation of the variety of entries. The show will be co-hosted by a gay man (Rick Clemons) and a straight woman (Karen Auld). Nice combo, don’t you think?
So here they are- Your co-hosts for this week’s edition of Out From the Inside-

Ecstasy is Necessary!

This week on Out from the Inside, I’m joined by my sensational, sensuous, sexy and super-smart friend Barbara Carrellas!

Barbara is the author of Urban Tantra, Sacred Sex for the 21st Century, Luxurious Loving: Tantric Inspirations for Passion and Pleasure and the soon-to-be- released Ecstasy is Necessary: A Practical Guide. In addition to being a Hay House author, she’s a university lecturer, workshop facilitator, sex/life coach, motivational speaker and theater artist. In short, Barbara is a force of nature and you are going to love hearing what she has to say about the infinite realms of sex and your spirit.

Many of you are probably familiar with Barbara’s work and may have seen her appearances on television shows such as The Joy Behar Show and HBO’s Real Sex. Did I mention that I LOVE this woman? And did I mention that you will too?

Here’s Barbara’s vision statement from her website-

I Believe…

• that the universe is conspiring in our favor.

• that pleasure is good and ecstasy is necessary.

• in an embodied spirituality that celebrates the body as a path to spiritual growth, awareness and freedom.

• in the power of love to heal.

• that the combination of love, consciousness, and sexual energy can change anything.

.My Mission …

• is to help people be more authentic, feel more deeply, love more consciously, and create their lives as great works of art.

• is to inspire and facilitate freedom, pleasure, health and creativity with sex, breath, and connection.

• is to leave the world a more erotic and enlightened place than I found it.

What a woman! Join us for an ECSTATIC conversation, Wednesday on Out from the Inside!

I’ll also be announcing the winner of the UBMe contest. I’m ecstatic about the number of you who have entered and can’t wait to see who will be joining me next week. Or maybe I should say that I’m ecstatic about seeing who I will join next week. (note how many times I am practicing saying the words ecstatic and ecstasy? It’s contagious!)
